Vietnam is an amazing country to visit. From the fantastic food to the beautiful scenery, a shot in any direction is like a shot out of National Geographic. We were lucky enough to spend six weeks in Vietnam and spent all of that time just in the south. Entering the country through the southern most border with Cambodia, we followed the coast and then through the beautiful Mekong Delta and the towns of Can Tho and My Tho before we reached Ho Chi Minh City.
Not ones to get stuck in a city for too long, we spent the New Year with a fantastic local family and good friends from Australia just outside of HCMC. Before long, we were off to the coast yet again and thoroughly enjoyed the towns of Mui Ne and Nha Trang. Both of which we would recommend the effort of coming to from the UK or Australia.
With our visa reaching it’s deadline, we sped off inland and north towards the Laos border and got to appreciate all the bits in between that make Vietnam was it is. A peaceful, safe and friendly place to visit.
