France

France has to be one of the best countries in the world to cycle through. With the bicycle widely regarded as ‘the queen of the road’, the few times we couldn’t find a tree shaded bicycle forest trail, we were truly treated like royalty on the road.

Enjoy some quick reads on camping in the wild, winning a mosquito contest against Kimmi and a few other tales.

Wild Monsters

Somewhere way back from the road we’d pitched our tent. Nobody would find us here. Far away from cars, far away from tracks, far away from sight. Yes, we were deep in the forest of Northern France, completely absent from human contact and completely in the dark. And that’s when I started to wonder if [...]

The same but a bit more French

French wine has always been a little bit of a mystery. I can never tell what the grape is. That’s kind of my level I suppose. The reason being, nobody tells you from the bottle. It is one of those things I guess you’re just supposed to know. Thats the arrogance of the French that [...]

The Monaco Raceway

Life was perfect. We’ve saved for a year for that £20k or so and we wanted to [...]

Camping Park Wildness

On day 34, we make our way to the coast. The infamous French riviera. Where the rich, famous and elegant strut, meander and stroll. I never went to the beach for the fifteen years I lived in London, but for some reason, not seeing the sea for the last 34 days has given me some [...]

Acid Rain

For the past year, there has been way too many conversation with way too many unqualified people as to what to pack into four relatively small bags. Small bags that will contain your life, and the equipment to ensure you stay alive, whilst cycling from one side of the world to the other. That’s not [...]
